How to Turn a Marketing Flop into a $300+ Million Overnight Success

it happens always, we launch a product and despite being everything great, it fails! check out this post to know what can you do about this. Great read.

Recently, I read an article about the new Sonic movie.

And it doesn’t matter whether you’re into video game movies or not, you can still take a ton of inspiration from what the producers of that movie did.

Last year, the trailer dropped for the new movie – Sonic the Hedgehog.

And people were… pissed… off!

Why?

Sonic’s design looked nothing like the good old’ games from the early ’90s. In fact, he looked completely ridiculous.

The trailer received thousands of comments with people bashing everything about the character. I mean, come on, you’re doing a movie about an animated character… Why would you even think about changing the design?

People already hated the movie more than Elmer Fudd hates Bugs Bunny. I mean, seriously!

Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah. I even think there was a petition to boycott the movie.

Long story short…

The producers ACTUALLY listened!

They completely changed the design in post-production phase to make it more inline with the original Sonic from the Sega games.

And, as I’m writing this, the movie grossed over $300 million worldwide¯ and was a smashing success!

So what should you take away from this?

Look, the movie might’ve done just fine even if they didn’t change the design.

Or, it might’ve sucked monkey balls for all we know.

The bottom line is that…

THE STUDIO *LISTENED* TO THEIR AUDIENCE.

Instead of ignoring valuable feedback from real fans, they took what people said to heart, and made a movie that people loved.

Likewise, if you’re ever in doubt about what to do, say, or develop in your business, you can always find the answer in one place…

Your market.

Your market literally has all the answers.

They’ll tell you their hopes, fears, and dreams, which will make it 100x easier to create products they will not only love… but will love to buy!

That is if you actually listen.

But if you listen — and listen good, Bubba — you can potentially…

TURN A LACKLUSTER PRODUCT INTO A HIGHLY PROFITABLE  BUSINESS.

Anyway, do with this information as you see fit. The bottom line is this…

No matter what market you serve, what products you sell, what you like to do in your business, it all depends on your market’s hopes, fears, and dreams.

Once you understand that, you’ll be able to serve your clients on a whole different level.
